The New Milford Bulls Youth Football and Cheer program places a strong emphasis on the safety of its athletes. We understand that every sport carries a risk of injury, and we continuously seek ways to minimize that risk.
Here are some ways the New Milford Bulls, along with our governing league, empower our team of volunteers:
1. All our football and cheer coaches undergo multiple training sessions focused not only on their respective sports but
also on recognizing the signs and symptoms of injuries, including concussions and dehydration.
2. We have an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) available at both our football practices and games.
3. At least one coach on every football and cheer team is trained in first aid and CPR.
4. An EMT is present at all football games and cheer competitions.
5. ALL Volunteers (Board members, Coaches, Team Manager) must submit for a background check prior to the season.
Below are links and information to various resources discussing specific injuries that may assist our parents and athletes throughout the season.
If any injury raises concerns for our parents, the New Milford Bulls Youth Football and Cheer program always recommends that our athletes consult with a doctor and never attempt to self-assess or treat a serious injury.
